Well It is my birthday today (21 May - 66 years young and looking for more adventures and to 'make a mark' in community development in Melanesia) - - and some nutter has declared it to be the beggining of the "end of the world"?

    - Apparently he predicted it also in 84? -

Lots of gullible and foolish people in USA are supporting this fool with lots of donations... WAKE UP USA... NOT GONNA HAPPEN...

Boat show was sort-of interesting - I will probably start with carpets on the "saloon/bridgedeck" as lots noise was quietened with stopping the rattling of the cross-link for the steering...

Department of Vet Affairs has withdrawn my "Gold Card" as they claim it is 'means tested', and I am deemed to have assets available only in my dreams... So I loose free health/dental/optical and other benefits and get a significantly reduced pension, (I have been "deemed to have assets"), and am therefore means tested out of those benefits so my life may be shortened by high blood pressure, rotten teeth in need of attention, a need for optical attention as I am going blind and still afflicted with deafness & tinnitis (cicada's screeching in my ears 24/7) - complements of loud bangs (hand-guns/lmg/rifle 9mm, 7.62mm, and gunfire 40mm and 105mm)...

F**k Australian bureaucratic lack of compassion, understanding and parasitic behaviour... - Neither my ex-partner, nor I have the $40000 plus to pay the fees to remove my name from the real-estate my wife holds as her primary place of residence, let alone any other divorce costs... Nor do we see the need for a divorce as we both are content with acknowledging separation without the expense of adhering to imposed bureaucratic rules and ********...

I will endeavour to post as often as possible of my cruise and images of where I have been and seen...

I may depart for Maroochydore early next week, fuel up and head further north - Depends on the weather ... and the 7 day outlook... CYA

I knew there was something similar with us Mass . By birthday was 19th.

Richard -- no mention of alcohol there, for the benefit of other forum members perhaps you might want to elaborate on that advise.

How can it cost $40,000 to remove your name from a piece of property, Mas? We just added mine to a house that was in my wife's name, and it cost me twenty bucks.

Is it because you'd have to pay off a mortgage that has your name on it?

If his wife can manage to qualify for a re-fi in her own name, they can take his name off along the way.

As a matter of fact I believe he could cosign the new loan, and have it put solely in her name anyway... a cosigner doesn't have to be on the title.

Sorry to hear they are shafting you Mas, maybe you can find a cheaper way out of it. Gotta be something you can do to liquidate those assets. Maybe sell off your half for a buck and let them base the stamp fee on the sale price.

    oh and yah
we are having a post rapture looting party as well as a laying out a bunch of cloths in "disappeared" positions with some dry ice inside for special effects. Should be a good time and we get to see off the religious right, now thats a victory party if there ever was one

Drunken debauchery and good times were had by all will be the headlines tomorrow. That and a few choice pictures.

anyway best of luck with everything but above all
    enjoy that cruise

    best

Hi Boston, that is "classified as a gift" & I will be taxed on the "deemed value"...

Sabahcat, has it mostly plus other fees, legals and other bureaucratic bullshine foisted on us all by parasites posing as "public servants" (screw the public and ensure their own greedy aspirations are met)... "Deemed value" is the value the parasites impose on those poor sods who, like me, got 'audited' according to the "rule-book" which sets out 'values' prior to the GEC... Grin and bare it and hope that bad KARMA applies its revenge upon all parasites - otherwise known as bureaucrats, "public-servants" or other forms of low-life...

I look like departing for Maroochydore later today, will hold up there whilst ensureing the bureaucrats have sorted themselves out with regard to my Mothers' affairs, as she is legally blind and therefore exempt from a means-test on her pension and care-costs in the hospice... BUREAUCRATS have proven themselves to be a total waste of space on this world...

Thanks all for the wishes and good advice...

Hope to find a way to post regularly of images and events encountered in my travels...

someone seriously needs to develop a sense of humor
now why did I know who it was before I even looked

very christian of you Hoyt :p

maybe you were just frustrated when you saw one of these magically appear on your door
    [IMG]

I wonder if taking points from someone every time the system allows it constitutes abuse of the system , or if my never responding in kind makes me a better person ("non-christian") than the christian :D. Tell you what Hoyt, why don't you come to the party ( tomorrow noon, our place ) and have a great time with us. Then maybe you will realize how ridiculous and petty it is to act so "unchristian" towards others :D

    love

Hey Mas could you figure out at what price its not considered a gift and sell it off at that, or maybe give it as a gift and claim indigent status due to your loss of pension, I assume your not drawing a salary now that your over 21 and all ;-) There's gotta be some creative thinking that can resolve this mess they seem to have made of your finances. Can you make payments on the stamp tax. Gotta be a solution. Try going to a judge and see if he will give you an injunction until you have a chance to "resolve" the mater. Might work you never know.

Hey Mas, You do realise that when you kick the bucket, your previous wife is entitled to your current assets unless there has been a previous property settlement....just because you have amicable separated, she is able to claim on all of your assets still.
