There is a high paid job waiting for you in USA as a "control specialist" in removing marijuana plantings and coca gardens in Colombia and other growing regions... Double the US buy price and quadruple the profit margins for the CIA....

It's *always* time to do that stuff.

I did it decades ago. Just been putting netting over the cherry trees to keep the birds from eating them. Bit of delayed gratification growing fruit trees, but I can look forward to many, many years of effectively free fruit, fresh and pesticide free, while others put their hands in their pocket for lesser quality stuff.

I knew about permaculture 30+ years ago.

Oh well, the fringe and following 'ferals' (unwashed rebellious hippie looking bludgers/societies fleas) must be feeling 'short-changed' as they did not die of gamma radiation during the total solar eclipse here... I had a beaut view as the clouds parted just as totality ended... The birds are totally confused and silent and the wallabies are wandering around in a confused state...

Pity you werent being executed at that time Mas . An eclipse is a real good way of getting out of it by saying to them that you have godly powers and hold your arms up in some religious type ceremony and then they will all run away and you will be king.

Thing is eclipeses are not very popular in North Ausie and its the first one you have had for 1300 years. I guess its with all the financial cut backs.

The BBc reported supermarket shelves being bare from Austrailans fearing the end of the world and then others looking through cardboard holes with toffee paper.

One guy made well by selling coffee from his tail gate, he called his little enterprise 'carbucks' -- There was a guy wearing a sandwich board saying 'cat for sale no mast' ---'will work for diesel'.

-that was'nt you was it Mas.

    Hi Frosty,
I missed all that nonsense... No supermarkets closed for restocking - but some profiteers who were going to the Palmer River area for the 'feral-hippy' event certainly took some stock to sell like bottled water at $5 per bottle, insect repellent and anti-gamma-radiation cremes - the ferals have not been seen since so it may have been vanishing creme?

I gather that the great unwashed went to a spot on the line of peak eclipse either (in decimal degrees) here 16.3926S & 145.0511E or here 16.2673S & 144.7187E... NO WATER and if it rains, remain bogged until it dries out :D :D :D

Regardless of what has been suggested, I still feel that my boat, "CNO" at 11.99m and 6.55m beam OA, able to carry around a tonne (1000 kg) of fuel for a range of about 2000 miles at about 7 knots is the best option that I have seen.

"CNO" is ideal for the tropics, as it will take a mast and sails and can be easily single handed by day-sailing (anchoring up over night), draws a tad less than 3 ft and can be sat on her bottom remaining upright... with berthing for 4 people. 8 solar panels (more than 1400W), ready to take 5 more to deliver 2275W to charge the batteries, inverters electric galley supported by a couple of single burner gas elements, an electric maceration toilet & holding tank, shower with pressure water and all the electronic goodies - ready to go.... and the engines will run happily on coconut oil (filtered to about 5 micron), which can be made in most villages throughout Melanesia.

What about selling a share for a mast and rigging. Or letting it out to a cruise company or managed bare boat charter.

And the happiest is when it is sold.....

Silver and gold may not do much but they made a better return than almost everything else.... during President Obama's first term in office.... looks like more of the same for the next 4 years?

Are you accumulating ? The Chinese are....

I was reading a speech by Ron Paul and thought there may be a few who would like to appreciate what is said and missed hearing of his speech inside USA as he does not appear to be "flavour of the month" by 'main-stream-media' so please find attached a summary and links to his full speech entitled 'Our-constitution-has-failed_Ron-Paul.pdf'

Another essay relating to Australia has the heading 'Australia-is-Spain-in-waiting.pdf' - - Both are well commended for your attention... Serious stuff, both...

Mas I dont care what anyone says -- its literally back to the wall. I wouldnt stop up to listen to a news breaking obama speech. I dont care what any one says any more . the depth of depravity of sex and finance has been here a long time its just the publics acceptance of it that has reached new lows.

Banks have turned into horned creatures ripping through the planets bank accounts like vultures daily inventing heinous ways of stealing money.

I am literally having trouble with banks on a daily basis, there cheating is unbelievable.

So ---no I dont want to read it.

On matters relating to my boat, I first have to get some work done on the car that I am using, then I should be able to get down to Cairns and do some work on my boat - like helping to remove the starboard rudder so the shape can be replicated and the starboard rudder reduced in blade length by 100mm (4 inches) as the port rudder will be approximately moulded from the stbd. rudder... Also I will be able to fiddle with the pawls on the anchor winch and get that functional...

    Hi Frosty,
Nor really do I but like a voyeur peeping through a hole in the fence at "nudists" it is a little difficult to avoid?.... Far better than the 'fake reality TV" in the soaps, or other stuff that purports to titillate, but in reality is less than the bare *** of a sheeple...

Old reprobates are allowed to degenerate disgracefully - - before the ageing processes removes even those "simple pleasures of the mind"...

Mas, what a load of crap those charts were... a select mix of commodities, indices, currencies and others.... who published that chart and what was it for, to compare apples, to oranges to the market price of fish in mongolia on sunday and draw some sort of relevance????

And how on earth do they come by the numbers on chinese gold accumulation??? Nobody knows how much gold they are stockpiling besides them, the chinese dictators whom certainly dont tell outsiders what theyre up to...

I havnt read the other stuff yet, but when i do im sure ill see the BS flag flying high.... australia the next spain... pleeeeeeeease...
