Has anyone thought about a making a section dedicated to general maintenance?

    Just a thought.

Interesting idea. A concern with creating a whole general maintenance subforum would be overlap with existing sections; unless there are a lot of maintenance topics, it's nice to have topics about a stern drive in the stern drive section, or about an engine in the relevant engine subforum under propulsion, or about fiberglass in the fiberglass subforum, etc.

Maybe a general maintenance thread would be a great place to start.

Today I'm posting a how to on using System Three water based 2 part polyurethane, this is a topic important to all DIY boat owners whether they are sailboats or Power. Water based finishes on boats has always been taboo, or at least a tricky subject, but that is changing, and soon every boat will be painted with some kind of water based paint.

So in which heading should this go?

I have been posting on Sailboats, but the power folks probably don't ever look there.

    What to do?
