Contact Jay Benford (benford.us). He has several yachts that are just what you're looking for. You're best off buying his "Cruising Designs" book (about $15), as it covers most of his stuff in this range.

If interested in a larger craft (a ship), then the Smithsonian would be the next logical place. > http://americanhistory.si.edu/about/departments/work-and-industry/ship-plans <

The last real model I made took me 5 YEARS.
Of course I can also make a paper model in 3 minutes.
It depends on what one wants...

I actually found only one photo that shows it well enough.
I can proudly say that when you look into the cabin you will see flower pots - the trees I left away ... :p (it is the 'HMAV Bounty)

Is the two masted one a brigantine? Or a schooner brig?

Brig. Brigantine or schooner brig has a fore and aft main (after) mast. The ship shown is square rigged on both 3-section masts with a gaff mainsail, making it a brig. If it had some small differences in the aft most sail it would be a 'snow'. With a 2-section after mast it would be a brigantine or schooner brig.
First pic with boomed mainsail is a brig, second with no main boom is a snow.
Some pics of a model brig built for a movie by me with a helper in 8 weeks. A pic of a modern brigantine with no square canvas on the mainmast, though earlier versions often had a square main topsail. And last some details from the brig model.
