This is what i had in mind for a 30foot cruising catamaran

Very rought sketch made in Autodeak fusion 360 for my interpretation of a 30 foot long x 14 foot beam cruising catamaran. This is just the beginning for a tentative for a catamaran that would suit my needs. Would love to make the beam 16 foot but it would limit and cost more for a boat slip everytime i would like to be in a Marina.

I am the guy who just ask for bridgedeck centerboard pros and cons.

Rig need to be define, daggerboard, centerboard, rudder. Propulsion would probably be bridgedeck outboard.

If I can get a little above, 15-20% displacement hull speed of a 30foot monohull i would be happy.

 

suggest you go to this thread, download the latest spreadsheet AND the pdf (excellent descriptions of catamaran attributes), and get down and dirty with your dream.

I don't think anything you are proposing here is new. Kurt Hughes has done a number of catamarans with a centrally mounted freestanding aero rig. You could easily contact him and get him to adapt one of his 30' bridgedeck designs to your needs. I'd suggest he probably wouldn't want to do the bridgedeck centreboard instead preferring a daggerboard in the hulls but who knows, money talks and having a designer with whom you can discuss the pros and cons of certain approaches is very helpful.
