There are quite a few "dead forever" "plane pilots, race car drivers, [and] ship masters." <laugh
"AGWers Deniers made a decision in the past, everything they don't understand or don't like is man's fault couldn't possibly be their fault." <laugh>

Report: Global Warming Could Melt At Least A Third Of Himalayan Glaciers
    • If average temperatures increase by "only" 2.7C a third of Himalaya glaciers could be gone by 2100
    • If current rate of emissions continue two-thirds of Himalaya glaciers could be gone by 2100
    • Initially, rivers will have more flow, creating the potential for flooding. But eventually the flows from the melting glaciers will decrease.
    • This could have disastrous effects on the water resources of some 240 million people
    • Already men in mountain regions are increasingly migrating for work as climate change makes it harder to make a living in agriculture
    • "There will always be deniers and science will not be able to provide the absolute truth," says Bolch, "but what we can provide is huge evidence."

You will not break our will.
You have certainly not presented anything that even approaches "absolute truth".

Your acknowledgement that many sacrificed their lives to teach us how NOT to respond, do things loses any sense of humility when you chortle about it, cad

I can understand how disappointed you two must feel for having the winds of change not blow your way. I felt the same way four years ago. But I survived, and so will you. But please try and control the violent impulse that keeps peeking out. Go sailing -- or in my case at this time of year, go skiing.

    Referring to a previous post:

Yob is correct, laughing isn't very respectful to those who have died. I meant the laugh to be directed at Yob for comparing the split-second judgement needed by an airplane pilot or race car driver to the judgement needed for a decades-long, even centuries-long, slow-motion train wreck that Climate Change is. We humans react most naturally to emergencies that occur over the course of a few seconds, or a few minutes, or even a few months. But we react very poorly to emergencies that happen over one, or two, or three lifetimes.

Why would you say that humans "can't stop global warming or cooling" and then reference an article that states that certain human actions do, in fact, cool the earth? Are you schizophrenic?

    PS
U.S. economic performance under Democratic and Republican presidents
Historically, the United States economy has performed better on average under the administration of Democratic presidents than Republican presidents since World War II.
    Don't worry, be happy!

Imaginary #, a small region of cooling is local or regional, not global, in case you didn't notice the remark to that effect. Are you visually impaired?

Glad you understand the difference between regional weather and global climate. Sometimes I wonder...

Pentagon declares climate change a 'national security issue'
“There is little about what the [Defense] Department does to defend the American people that is not affected by climate change. It is a national security issue, and we must treat it as such,” Defense Secretary Lloyd Austin said in a statement.

The shift means the Department of Defense (DOD) will now “include the security implications of climate change in our risk analyses, strategy development, and planning guidance,” according to Austin.

The Pentagon since 2010 has acknowledged that climate change could pose a threat to where the military operates and its roles and missions.

This makes perfect sense. Understanding and predicting weather trends and local and global climate conditions, helps inform effective operations and defensive strategies.

I do hope, however, that the military doesn't get into the business of affecting climate or weather control. That just sounds like a bad idea for the World.
