I think this is a request that had to do a senior member....
boatdesign.net might sponsor a meeting hole....

I wish! The site's current sponsors pay for the bandwidth, but I wanted to keep the site as low on advertising as possible, so I'm afraid the budget is a little on the small side (currently breaking even after covering server costs) which is perfect, except when something fun is proposed :)

If there are no sponsor, we can simply have a dinner all together, after our business in Genova.
I'm open to all possibilities, but i see this thread don't interest a lot of user

Remember, that most of the users of this forum are american - a trip to Italy is expensive!
I myself would love to be there, but unfortunately haven't got the time.
How about METS in Amsterdam - are any members planning to attend? The HISWA Symposium looks very interesting!

I'll be at the METS for sure! But for me it's like 'next door'.
BTW, that's about just as expensive for the Americans as Italy!!!

Perhaps even more expensive - Amsterdam is not a cheap place to stay!
Perhaps we'll meet there - I will be at the symposium and the rest of the time I'll be helping a friend on the KMT Nord stand (I don't know what number).

Amsterdam or Genova for American members is the same,
for an European members is the same.....
I start this thread to see how many members european, american, designer and boatbuilder will certainly come and if it is possible organize a simple meeting to have the pleasure of meet them.

We work all in the same field, so it could be very interesting this type of relationship.

I asked this because i personally know many people who come in Italy for The Exhibition from America,Emirates etc.

I'm sorry Serendib, sorendfk and I just walsed over your invitation. I apologize for that! I'm sorry, but I can't make it to Genova, holidays are limited and Lloyd's has it's local surveyors. Will keep it in mind though for a next time! With or without a nautical reason.

It's just that you started this thread about the exhibition in Genova. It was not polite of us to change the subject to METS!
