Oh to have money. Every time I read a new boat article I think "this is what I'd like to own" till I see another test report.

This time it's the Nauticat 385. I've never been a fan of the pilot-house cruiser style but this boat seems very nice. Also according to the article more sailing orientated as well.. Solid glass construction, deep lead keel and an AVS of 155 degrees.

To mack a pair of boats I was also taken with the Kral 700 Custom Classic power boat, very James Bondish.

    Oh to be rich.

I agree with Mychael about the quality of the Nauticat 385.

I had already referred that boat in other threads.

For pictures and some comments on the boat, take a look at post 363 of this thread:

I was so impressed with that boat that one of my first Posts in this forum was about that Nauticat, while still in project.

The only drawback, besides price is that it offers a little bit less of living space than the Regina38 or the Nordship 40, also very interesting boats in the same market segment.

If I won Tatts, then I would build a boat and sail all around the world, maybe twice around the world and then study yacht design.

Ah but its only a dream to win money, what a dream to have.

We'll catch up some time. My boat is actually in Westernport. She came from Port Phillip.
I have a months leave from 26th Feb so I'm flexible for time then, we might be able to get together for a sail or a yarn.
