How to assess the moment caused just by the horizontal wave load in AQWA?

Hello everyone,

First at all, thank you for accepting me in this forum. I have read a lot of threads but this is my first post.

I am using AQWA but I have compared the results with other BEM models and it is basically the same. My problem is that when I calculate the overturnning moment of a fixed element in the joint, the value that I am getting is caused by the horizontal and the vertical force. If I want to know the point of application of these forces, it is impossible as I just have the value of the horizontal and vertical force but not their distance to the joint.

Is there any way of spliting the total moment (e.g. My) in the moment generated by the horizontal (e.g. Fx) and the vertical (e.g. Fz) force?

Thank you very much for your help and I hope I have been clear enough.

All the best

I keep working on this, and apparently some potential models allows the determination of the moment generated by just one force by means of transferring the loading to a strcutural model. I do not know if this is the case of AQWA...
