Help with i/o

My 97 Merc i/o 135hp died on me when I was on the lake the other night. I have not been able to get it started since with a fresh battery it just clicks everytime I turn the key.

Any help or advice would be greatly appreciated, thanks!

 

aint easy walking home that way did the merc stop or did not start? clicking sounds to me like the starter selenoid?
