Help!: Measure speed of boat

    How could i measure the speed of a boat with speed transducer from "navman" without using its display unit?
    I want to create the display unit myself.
    Anyone know the method meausre the speed through speed transducer's paddle wheel. Please tell me.

    Find a measured mile and calibrate whatever display you built.
