Fact: the high temperatures have happened. Nine of the ten hottest years in modern times have occurred since 2000.

Did the CO2 go up a smidgin? Or a lot?
Hottest years by a tenth or 2 tenths of a degree wasn't the dire prediction.
The prediction was catastrophical warmer temperatures.
And 2008 and 2011 were cooler than those 10 hottest years. And 2012 looks like will be a cooler year than 2008 and 2011!

If Co2 drives climate, and CO2 increases dramatically, and temperature increases two years (2005, 2010 ) a tenth degree more than 1998s former record temperture. Isn't this theory getting tiresome? Undependable, a BIG disapointment? :)

I wonder how many scientists and organizations, if they could do it without loss of face, with no reputation penalties, and no persecution from either camp, would abandon the anthropogenic CO2 drives climate theory, faster than they'd abandon a promiscuous girlfriend they just discovered pulling tricks in a crack house? :)

Anybody here want to abandon the CO2 agenda, with a clear conscience and no penalty? :)

About as many as would abandon the theory of evolution, is my guess.

Apparently you think there is roughly equal level of acceptance for the theory of evolution and theory CO2 drives temperature.

Do you think there is equal empirical evidence to support both theories? :)

So to draw some similarities to the threads topic.

Don't you feel that given a finding of concern in the environment, wouldn't it be prudent for neighbors to meet and have:

"The emphasis was on a shared problem and how to prevent it re-occurring."

    and hope for:

"A ELECTED solution, which encouraged mutual respect and more responsible behavior, thru community fellowship."

Don't you admit that this is the exact function for which the IPCC was created and a direct reference to the "elected solution" as represented by accords.

As a result of their findings isn't international cooperation from the worlds community now sought to meet this "shared problem"?

Why is you creek problem socialization while cooperation over carbon emissions socialism?

Do you also chafe at international cooperation over mercury control in the environment, disease control, weapons use, human rights etc etc etc?
We clearly have an international 'community' and problems which are indifferent to national boarders- why not have international cooperation to meet these challenges just as you creek dwellers have?

    bntii and imagine
You don't see any difference between voluntary co-operation in a small community. where everybody has same goals and culture, and, world wide, different goals, in-voluntary...oh what's the use.

Do you know, and are you friends with your next door neighbors? seriously?

But, but, mob rule is pure democracy, where the majority carries out the lynchings, burnings etc.

That is why I prefer the republican structure of government. It is less hot-headed.

The ones who see our Constitution as a barrier to their goals are the ones who would trample our freedoms and enslave us.
