Yes, but would not provide the additional righting moment which, as explained before, is one of the main points of the DSS foil.

You could install differential flaps on the underwater horizontal foils, but then would have just added more RM (plus mechanical, structural and maintenance complications and costs), with no vertical lift. The idea of a leeward horizontal foil (like DSS) is to get both effects with one device.

By the way, I am not proposing you to butcher your boat and install DSS (that's Doug's fault, he has introduced the subject :p ). Just discussing technical aspects of DSS. :)

Youre correct about chopping bilge foils into your boat. Disastrous.

Micro cruiser tend to be short, wide and heavy for their size.

Perhaps throw that cooler of ice cold beer overboard, chop your tooth brush in half, go on a diet and you might get her on a plane.

Gary, it is the 27 that was built as a test model for a 100 ft.er.! Sent the pix to Hugh and he confirmed it....

The questions in post# 2 were important in determining whether DSS would have any value. If the boat doesn't plane it probably wouldn't be too beneficial but it could help a bit, perhaps.
Remember, you could make small trunks to insert twin foils into from outside
instead of having a trunk all the way across. But absent more info, I wouldn't
    recommend DSS in this application.
