G4 Primer ?

    Anyone had much experience of G4 primer? We use it as a primer for plywood decks / bulkheads before applying GRP. Is it really worthwhile using this - Im wondering as most other people that I know just put the GRP straight on to the wood.

    G4 is a one part moisture cured polyurethane varnish often used as a sealer for cheap one shot moulds made directly from mdf or similar. Its primary use is as a pond sealer for concrete, though i have used it for one shot mould making i dont know how well it sticks if used as a primer for grp. I prefer to use epoxy & cloth if glassing decks, its lighter, stronger & sticks for keeps.
