Great find Doug. I watched the whole thing because it is all about little boats that I love so much. Some of the innovations are devilishly clever.

It is far more than just boats though. It is an affirmation of the courage and indomitable spirit of man (and woman too). Yes, Watertribe people are all crazies but they are my heroes one and all.

Bloody hell, Doug, that's the Cox's Bay Skimmer.
Actually during the recent NZ weather savagery, the Skimmer, including wide and heavy and semi-waterlogged cradle, got blown over, no damage but lost the daggerboard.
Needs to come out, refurnish, fit DSS. Ha.

It would be a bit different but was 100% inspired by your boat. I just think it would be a blast to sail and I've always wanted a schooner-better small than never. It would be designed for DSS, of course. I would want to sit very comfortably down, inside the boat-no hiking-but sliding ballast is possible at least to experiment with. But it will be a long 5 years ,if ever.....
