So does that mean you only want illegal imigrant Muslims "deported, jailed, executed" for not giving up on their fellow neighbor who "is planning to kill innocents"? Not the ones who were born here or immigrated legally?

I believe you're making a blatantly racist argument there, even though you claim not to be racist. Why do you say people helped the murderer "because he was black and so were they"? Isn't it simply more likely that the people he knew and hung out with were other criminally-minded, anti-cop blacks, and they or people in their wider circle of criminally-minded, anti-cop blacks helped him?

You make it sound like he walked up to black strangers on the street and told them, "I'm black like you, I killed some white cops and I need your help," and they said, "Oh. OK; come on home with me and meet the family. You can hide in our basement until the coast is clear. You're just in time for dinner; we're having chitlins and watermelon."

You are quite possibly correct. I have no idea what would make people hide a man like that but they shud suffer the same punishment as the the one who pulled the trigger.

Its a shame reading comments like this.
Makes me wounder if people have this distorted one sided image, how on earth can we achieve peace or understanding in situations like Palestine? or bridge the cultural gaps that exist between countries and religions?
Shame really, i guess I am a fool then ..... so are the friends i have made through out the world to trust each other.

I am rather disappointed from your post hoyt, i had thought you wiser than this.

He's a pretty smart guy, Vulkyn. But his view of the world has some big blind spots in it.

Every man is a damn fool for at least five minutes every day; wisdom consists in not exceeding the limit.

... first step in the direction of wisdom.

And second big step would be less Fox "news" watching.

People who come to our country legally are welcome. Just obey the laws and don't come here for nefarious reasons.

If a white cop killer's friends hid him, would you assume they did it because he was white?

Vulkyn, I am just reflecting historical events. No offense to you was meant, but I think I gave an accurate representation of what happened. You had no more to do with that than I had to do with the Torquemada.

Stick around. This is an academic(more or less) discussion.
