With a 4 ft piece of 2X4 , a piece of chain and a bit of imagination , it is easy to chain one end of the 2X4 to something , lean the first 1/4 of it's length across the back of a drill and lean on the other end while using a hole saw, giving you the pressure of a drill press, making the job much easier. A 5 gallon plastic bucket full of water with a tiny hole in one side of the bottom aimed at the hole you are trying to make will cool things down quite nicely as you drill .
