Can someone recommend a facility that does good custom gel coat matching from a chip. Ideally a "AA" match in all three light sources.

I had someone but they left the company.

    Thanks for your advice !

Thanks for the reply. The person at gel coat products who was outstanding at providing matches left and never had good luck with Spectrum.

    Appreciate the feedback

I supplied both of those companies with their gel coat bases for a couple decades.

If you are trying to match old or faded gel coat the results can be disappointing, that’s common.

I don’t know of any other companies that do this as their main source of revenue.

Wendy retired from GCP, but they use a computer to do color matches now. When did you last use product from them.

I should have asked how much you need, the amount can change your options.

So really need a few quarts but would take a gallon or five gallon if required. I know Wendy retired but regeatfully I think the replacement does not have the same experience or ability to meet AA in all three light sources like Wendy was able to.

    Thanks for your help.

PS - also tried Polynt with no luck on matching

The big players won’t be interested in anything less than a pail, and they don’t like doing custom one-off pails, they want drum orders, they don’t even like color matching single drums.
