We have a 7.5 mtr RIB similar to an 'Atlantic 75'. Currently it is fitted with a marinised Ford Mermaid (150ish hp) powering a PP Jet (PP90). The jets is in really poor condition (full rebuild essential).

We have been offered a 75 HP Evinrude Outboard + Morse controls etc, as a possible replacement

I'm looking for a bit of advice as to whether its feasable to remove the Jet & the inboard, and replace them with this outboard. We are looking to finish up with a capable workboat which can double as an escort to budding learner dingy sailors. We dont need great speed!!

    All comments and advice welcome.....
