I went to buy lumber for planking over the marine plywood. I was intending to buy cypress. I had used it previously; it is fairly light, bends well, looks good, machines well, moderate price. But I decided to look around before my purchase. Ended up buying African mahogany; the price just wasn't that much more, and the store had some beautiful boards that could be resawn with minimal waste. Right now it is in 6 mm. by 3 1/4 inch planks. Next will be to run it through a planer.[IMG]
