Im too low down to say anything. I cant shout loud enough up to the high position of the others and the testosterone is just overwhelming as is the certificates of superiority being laid on the table.

I will not ever own such a boat im too old now . Hopefully in the future a new sheet of paper and a new shiny pencil may arrive though a sunbeam of light.

The boating world is in control by those who know best and stick to thier guns and will not be swayed by ignorant buyers.

Frosty there is a cat company that builds fast and light cats with no flybridges, but way expensive.

I really like the 60 but for the length there's not much room and it's wayyy too much $$..
It'll give you some ideas maybe

The only thing light with any of them is the colour . the small boat is heavy and i bet its wet in the rough . who ever is driving hasent trimed the boats at all it nose down a pair of 60 hp is to small !,needs more hp to make it get up and go ! the bigger boat is a heavy mother as well look at the photos !! look at the roosters tail then look where the water is coming out way up near the bow !!,its to over weight . take note of all the glass construction !
    They nice looking BUT !!!!

There was a 50 foot flybridge cruiser on the moorings for years . One day it sank and it was dragged over to the marina to strip it out. And I meant strip it --im talking nothing in the boat at all except engine beds and 2 fuel tanks an rain water not even a deck. It was all floppy and was loosing its shape. I offered 8,000 dollars for it as it was.

I was amazed at how high it floated, I looked front and back to see if it was actully touching the water, the antifouling was 2 feet above water.

I wanted to take this boat and put a flat flush deck on it as light as possible. It would have no house at all just a walk through. It would have accomodated this as it had a high free board, floor sole would be from chine to chine with 2 engines aft with a deck on top, access through hatches.

An accommodation would be built inside of alluminium and "imaginative" use of plastic and formica, and white plastic wood . A queen on suit fwd with lounge and galley. Some sandal wood could be used as cappings.

Interior would be something like 1 ton, engine x 2 -250 1 ton+ shafts and props.

I reckon I could have got that old tug to cruise at 25 and 30kts full.

50ft loa-500HP 8 tons wet. what speed it that then?

I calculate a good years fun fitting it out at a cost of 8000 + 40,000

    Any arguments on that one.

as long as its a displacement sled, length width rules will apply to the speed

I bet you had a smile on you face when you wrote this ! and you felt so superior and cut another notch in you belt ! you say im puffed up and full of hot air wow i bet your mother loves you and is so proud to have such a knowledgable hairy gay long tailed son with two big ears !. do people stand up and bow when you walk into a room ?or do they sand up and leave ? maybe they just look the other way?. i am so glad im not anything like you ! man you have an attatude problem !:p
why are you always getting side tracked instead of sticking to the subject that this post is all about ! you start off ok then get things twisted and away you go with abuse and belittling behaviour ,did you have a unhappy child hood ? did the girls all pick on you at school because of you ears or was it your tail !! never mind nothing lasts for ever ! just seems like it does !

Luxury sailing cats the same length are similar weights and I recall looking at 60' power cats a few years ago and they were usually much heavier....

But its all a waste of time anyways he won't build one.

    :eek::eek::eek:

So, that's a no then, to wanting to learn why your statement about stiffness is false and incorrect.

But I suppose that's the problem. If you do learn..and do understand...it removes your cause celebre for your rants. As you'll actually understand and would be a hypocrite for saying the opposite of what you would now understand as being correct. Thus best stay where you are..because then you can continue in your blissful ignorance and rant way. Don't want to take away your only reason for being able to contribute these threads now do we...

Again, proving your ineptitude Tunnels? You obviously don't know what NA's do, let alone who Ad Hoc is.
