I dont understand --500 per day is a new cast every 2.88 minutes. Is that possible.

Im never going to try to fool anyone !!

What you are saying is true and is interesting but this is grass roots level ! Working in a garage or shed at home in a lot a cases . Even small workshops and a few big ones . Some times some one has bought a mould thats been sitting some where and the new owner wants to make a few boats and sell again and move on to bigger things !. I stick to what i know and what i know works and works well !!Its simple and easy and dosent take any thinking about ! Nothing is fool proof and id be the biggest fool to say so !! so not to appear a fool i will leave you with this foolish ending !!

Yes, most use a conveyor system that moves the molds around to each station, they continue to move and each station has about 2.5 minutes to do their part of the process.

There are about 50 molds on the conveyor.

Gel time on the gel coat is about 4 minutes, the resin is a couple minutes longer.

Did we get side tracked ??

How the hell do you get 50, 30 foot boat moulds on a conveyor belt and complete them in less than 3 minutes ??
Takes the guys more than 3 minutes just to find there rollers and shake the acetone out of them .
The poor guy mixing the resin is smoken and in a sweat he cant work that fast !!.
This is all about building boats isnt it ????

Yes bathrooms --still made in fibre glass. Wipe clean incorperating a basin and shelfs , water resistant very popular. You dont have em in China.

Just screw it to the wall and plumb in.

I only added the the tubs and showers because Tunnels brought it up when discussing what he had built in the past.

Doesnt matter does it, its fibreglass moulding, the resin doesnt know what it is.

Shower cubicles with music and pressure controlled water jets are in every bathroom shop , beautifully finished. Jacuzis for 4 people perhaps.

I can not emphasis the finish of glass type surface. Maybe the boat world should stop and take look.

The finish is great. However, shower tubs are built with CSM and more resin than you want on a boat where weight is a factor.

Why do you say the finish has anything to do with resin type.

Surely the finish of the mold is entirely responsible for the casts finish.

    Sounds like an excuse.
