    That is a fiberglass boat. Start collecting sanders of different sizes.

    Jig making is an art form in itself. It involves design and engineering as well as an eye for positive and negative space.

    A jig is a form or mold or guide or pattern that allows you to accurately cut a part, follow a shape or hold pieces together for joining. Good jig makers are draftsman, engineers and craftsmen all in one.

    Before you build a boat. You must decide where it will be used.

    Many boats can be built with a jigsaw and little else, but I use an expensive sander almost daily on my build. I built a canoe 20 years ago and used a belt sander.
