1995 Bayliner 4.3xl v6 I/O- I want to change the spark plugs and wires but there is almost no room to get to the plugs. Any help?? Special tools needed??

    Thanks,

Just a sparkplug socket and a ratchet. It is a difficult access.

Seems also that I need to remove the cover housing around the engine so I can lay down to get under everything. Is this the way to do it??

It depends on the model. I, like most mechanics work by touch. In the majority of smaller boats it is impossible to see many of the parts that need to be replaced or serviced.
