Hi Xaliba, welcome to the forum . . :)

Fiat Aifo 806 could be the same as an Iveco 8060, or an Iveco 8061, please check...

I've grabbed the below pictures and PDFs from:

Power Tech Engines (in Fresno, CA, USA)Iveco MarineIndex of Iveco Marine

Iveco Aifo 8060other sidePDF drawings & dimensions Iveco Aifo 8060 (model 8060SM21.10)

The last picture and the last PDF in my previous post (#16) doesn't seem to be matching, I've got it as such from the given links, but the numbers aren't same, and the picture shows a non turbo engine I think (?), and the PDF looks to be a bi turbo engine (?), so this confuses me . .

    Hi Angélique!

Thank you very much for taking some time to help me. Both engines are quite similar to mine, the lower one is virtually the same (only minor differences) at least from the outside, this could be a very good lead. I'll investigate first thing tomorrow!

thank you so so much again, let's hope it brings new light into the matter :)

OK Xaliba, it's always fun to puzzle, certainly when this helps someone, see also my post #17, which worries me a bit . .

About the letters in the PDF model numbers, S and R are about the air intake...

in Italian; Sovralimentazione: con turbosoffiante azionata dai gas di scarico e refrigerante aria raffreddata ad acqua di mare.

= (±) Supercharging: with turbocharger driven by exhaust gases and air refrigerated by sea water cooling.

    S = Sovralimentazione (Supercharged / aka: Turbocharged)
R = Refrigerante aria raffreddata ad acqua di mare ((compressed intake) air (after the turbo) cooled with sea water / aka: Raw water intercooler, to put R back in)
M = motore Maranizzato (Maranized engine / aka: Marine version)

Please keep us posted, your info also might help others in the future . . :)

    Good luck !

Aifo are all basically Iveco truck engines so unless its a marine conversion part that you need, parts should be available and interchangeable with the truck engines - and motor factors are a lot cheaper than marine shops! If I recall correctly, Iveco took over Ford trucks so again part availability should be good?

    Hi Xaliba,

I see you've posted a question on this YouTube video page...

It's an April 8 in 2011 posted vid, the language is Dutch, they gave the name of the boat, so I've tracked it down, all links are in Dutch...

Rambonnet (ship from 1894) on Wikipedia

    M.s. Rambonnet on Scout Wiki

Tasmania group = Scout group that owns the boat ---> The boat Rambonnet ---> Contact page

Forum thread about the M.s. Rambonnet ---> from the post on March 18, 2011 till March 20, 2011 is about the Fiat Aifo 806AM engine, there's a lot of pictures...

I'll guess you could try the contact page, if want to know more about their spare parts, or try to post a question in English on the forum, but that thread seems to be in hibernation since 2011.

    From post #1 . . . a 1937 picture

Below, in 1973 the then brand new Fiat Aifo 806AM main engine going in, never even the slightest problem in 38 years of service it says, first overhaul was in 2011.

I'm pretty sure about the meaning of the S and the M, the R is my own interpretation, of which I'm not 100% sure.

See also the FIAT OM CP3-SM thread for some more info, I've got the above line in Italian from the below sheet in post #11.

I just got a boat with 2 of these engines. 8361 SRM 10, and 8361 SRM 32.00. Any idea on the power level. I can't tell from the data sheet.
