Sad to hear Mike. Owen, if you are interested I would seriously think about putting the Mk2 beams on. That way you can cut out some of the forward bulkhead so you can get forward easier. Also you get a lot more cockpit room.

Best of all, they should be HEAPS easier to build than the ply box beams.

I seem to be having trouble getting the images I took for Mike to attach to this post. Email me if you would like all the shots of the old and new beam plans I have.

I had a chat to Jeff Owen, who owned Kiska, and who delivered a Mk2 a long way down the coast. He thought his boat was faster than the Mk2. I found that interesting.

Simple beam

Thanks for posting and also the "cleaning" Have the foam twiggy beams proven reliable? It looks like a fairly simple beam to build.
