      SD- Yea, the peeler was an interesting problem, I am still looking for the best solution.

      Doug - I don't think there is a solution unless you want the winch to be front and centre in the pic. I just always assume that it will be too small to notice on the finished boat, or leave the peeler off completely. "Yeah, that's on the side you can't see......."

      Your 3D-models could be a starting point of a database for boat design equipment.
      As a first step you can upload your model under http://www.3dcontentcentral.com , -User Library - Miscellaneous - Various Components.
      That is what I did with an anchor and so on.
      From that place anyone can view the model in 3D and download the model in the format he wants.
