SailDesign: "Melusine" strip-planked, or cold-moulded

Sometimes a change of colour or material can have an interesting effect. I'm not sure she could be built light enough in wood, but it's always worth a look-see. The only real change otherwise is a functional fixed backstay (who needs runners?!)

      Melusine is very slippery looking indeed.
      It is a shame we have mostly lost the art of hot molded wooden boat construction. I own a Hot moled International 14' Jet class designed by: (Howard Siddons/Uffa Fox). It is very light at 285 lb. and as strong as the day she was built in 1954. No ribs
