This design is meant to honor the "Big U" and it certainly does with her clean lines and sleek look and design, her hull echoes the great design of transatlantic passenger ships of the 1950's while her superstructure utilizes all the modern amenities and comforts found on today's passenger ships. This is the most unique design feature on the entire ship. Due to her height, she would be unable to pass under the Verrazano Narrows Bridge in New York, and in order to do so, the superliner utilizes retractable funnels and a retractable mast! Never before has something like this been done on a passenger ship (Oasis of the Seas does NOT count). Enjoy!
