3D hull and equipment models from the internet

Other 3D-models needed I think I have to push the 3D-models idea again. We need other 3D.models under 3D CAD Blocks and Drawing Files http://www.boatdesign.net/gallery/showgallery.php/cat/3054 The Rhino people can pack the .3dm, ACIS 4.0, STEP and iges file into one .zip-file. Jeff, why...

    Exporting from autoship to modelmaker

The way from AutoCAD (is ACIS based) to Rhino is the following. First check if you can save the model as ACIS. Otherwise you will have problems in anyway and you have no real 3D-model. Then convert the file via steptools.com into a .step file. Read that file into Rhino.

2D Rhino to Autocad export and rhino sectioning

What do you thing about the way to import complete 3d Rhino Models into AutoCAD as mentioned already by you and then doing there all drawings in AutoCAD? The way is the following: Save the Rhino-file as ACIS (4.0) not higher. Go to AutoCAD , Insert ACIS.

    Autocad-Rhino-Hydromax?

First question: Is, the AutoCAD surface a real freeform surface? 3D-DXF is not a surface or solid format. Try to save it as ACIS. Than look at the file in AutoCAD again. Insert ACIS, if you can see the surface now, then I can give you a hint how to manage the interface between Rhino and AutoCAD...

Rhino 3 to AutoCAD Mechanical Desktop 4 (XchangeWorks?)

Mechanical_Desktop is an ACIS based software (Version 4.0) not higher. You can save Rhino-files as ACIS 4.0. Then go to Mechanical_Desktop Insert - ACIS. That's it. Iges is always problematic. As input into Rhino a step_file is the best. There is no ACIS import. Up to 5MB you can use...

    Nupas Cadmaric and FORAN

For the long run I wouldn’t use either Foran, Nupas-Cadmatic or Tribon-Equipment or any other shipbuilding specific software for machinery and outfitting. Shipbuilding is an assembly industry and you will need (and they will offer) 3D-models from sub suppliers. The suppliers are working with...

3D hull and equipment models from the internet

Hi Cain, It would be nice if you could upload some 3D-models from your CAD-store towards 3D CAD Blocks and Drawing Files. Otherwise we will run into some problems. The idea is nothing, if there is no action. Cheers Bernd

    Free design for amateur boatbuilders

Hi Alik, hi Jeff, it would be great, if you can place the Pilgrim 590/Kavalier80 "Downloadable Drawings and Specifications" with the 3D thumbnail and a link towards Alik web site also under 3D CAD Blocks and Drawing Files. Please upload the .zip files. Regrads Bernd

3D hull and equipment models from the internet

Hey Chain, this should be absolutely not necessary and All this could be avoided, if it was saved as solids(.igs, .stp, .sat or .x_t). So far as I have looked into their presentation, I think they have SolidWorks. This software has a hell of nice converters (in- and output). So they could...

3D hull and equipment models from the internet

Hi Chain, in the newest development of iges solids are also involved, but a lot of CAD-systems are not able to import them. 3.7MB for the ceramic bowl of the toilet as .igs surfaces is much too large and the presentation even in Rhino is not correct and so you can't use it. Originally the bowl...
