ancient kayaker: Wee Lassie
My version of Rushton's Wee Lassie solo canoe, which was lapstrake construction, slightly stretched to accommodate today's larger paddler.
Butt-seamed plywood construction, batten-reinforced for a smooth hull. Glassing is unnecessary.
See http://www.boatdesign.net/forums/wooden-boat-building-restoration/zipper-seam-construction-18316.html
Afterthought: I found that the garboard (shown red by FreeShip) has excessive twist during planking tests; in practice I will have to use two planks instead of one to achieve the shape.
