Here's another clip is of Hans Dekker waterdisplacement cats. Hans has helped me to design my boat. I'm thinking to make a steped hull on my boat. Does anyone here has tips or information about steped hull construction??

Cool! Looks like the jet ski of cats out there jumping the wakes. Looks like an Eco 6, one that is on my list of considerations. But it appears the hulls are thiner than Gilbert's design, not sure. I just wondered of making one a little longer with more aft deck.... ![]() Oooops! Nope, that'sno Eco 6, saw the build pics, that's awsome, a mini speed cat, how does it go at slower displacement speeds? In the video is that the same boat with a cabin?

Nice project! congratulations jwtje! Yes, Fanie, a well (single) stepped hull enhance planing abilities, specially if high loads and advanced center of gravity needs to be used, also an optimized step position improves dynamic stability behaviour (avoiding porpoising, i.e.) and efficiency in general. This thread treats item in some way: Stepped Hull Resistance Bye K.
