I still use Carene 2008 to start a hull, then import into Freeship (usually 2.6).

The original free!ship can be downloaded from
    Sourceforge

Free!Ship became DelftShip which comes in a free and pro version and can be downloaded from the
    DelftShip website

There is also Free!Ship plus which can be downloaded from
    HydroNShip

Going on using Thinkdesign 3D par. CAD and SUPHAD (beta v.1.6.2) for hull dynamic analysis.

I do not know how many naval CAD-CAM programs you know but Catia, Defcar, Maat, Maxsurf, Solidworks, among others, are not "light weight software".

There is another issue, which has nothing to do with the exposed by Alexanov, that may arise: many great CAD-CAM programs are somewhat deficient as "Hull Modeling Software". Perhaps some are confusing the modeling with CAD-CAM. Or the original question is not well posed or some of us are responding to something other than what is asked.
I leave here the idea for a possible debate.

Catia and Solidworks was designed not like shipbuilng systems. rest in your list cover only some part of ship design and ship building tasks and can't be used from design to production.

Alexanov, clearly you talk about programs that you do not know, as most of them "can be used from design to production"
