In the radiograph, the hallux valgus seems slightly more pronounced in the left foot.

    Hi Hoyt,

I advised the girl to wear Boat Builders boots for better support and more space for her feet . .

Now she's wearing them and also advocates them to everyone . . .

Then she was mistaken that everything related to boats was comfortable, and build a boat out of a left deck shoe, and that isn't right . . .

Radar!? I will buy sonar, but not radar, as being the bat's secret weapon.

    SamSam,

    Thanks for the build drawings.

    Hoytedow,

But whales and porpoise use sonar and they are much more interesting.
Ban sonar - it gives whales headaches! :p

Radar and sonar works in the same principle by the reading the reflection of the transmitted signal. However, radar works only in the air medium (electromagnetic) while sonar uses liquid medium (acoustic).

So when it flies, radar, when it swims, sonar.

My understanding is that the word "sonar" is an acronym for SOund Navigation And Ranging. It was coined to give a name to the underwater system developed by humans. Humans also developed radar, an acronym for RAdio Detection And Ranging. Bats use sound but have been using it long before humans were around. Most folks just use the term echo location to describe how bats navigate and find food.

But even in the air the bat is using acoustic, not radio signal. The fluids are of different densities, air vs. water, but they are still fluids. Therefore it is still sonar, not radar. Radar will work in the vacuum of space.
