I've been using Zgreen to model wakes, it's quite impressive. Are there any details about how the code works, or a reference to a paper that describes the code and for what type of simulations it is valid for? Thanks, Neil

Hi @Neil Salmon I've never worked with Zgreen but I assume it's one of Leo Lazauskas fantastic programs?
What I know is that it's based on potential flow calculation from Havelock. Once I found the original paper on the internet but I don't know where, it was quite a long search though. Maybe I still have it on my PC.

Yes, it's from Leo. Compared with results from others, Zgreen looks good, so i'm curious to know more about the code and a reference to a scientific paper on the code would be good. Would be a great help if you could find that paper on your PC. Many thanks, N

Many thanks for that, i can see that Zgreen is based on some serious science. Cheers, N.

I did actually find a further reference related to Leo's model, but i was wanting to know from Leo if this was the best paper for the code or there were more recent papers. The paper i found was: "Wave Patterns and Minimum Wave Resistance for High-Speed Vessels" by E. O. Tuck, D. C. Scullen, and L. Lazauskas, 24th Symposium on Naval Hydrodynamics, Fukuoka, JAPAN, 8-13 July 2002. Cheers, N.
