The things that I love about the man and that will stay with me forever

pic 1 = the boat if built in epoxy would be a very nice boat for now

pic 2 = the young man we all wished we were ;)

pic 3 = really very smart and very creative lifeline :p

and if you REALLY want to understand you have to read it all :!:

"That judgement went for its skipper as well. I had long hair before it had become fashionable sandals without socks, and on cold rainy days I wore my grandfather’s long overcoat which showed some of the action it had been through when I had used it as a home in France." :D

Well he is going good and the winds are much better where he is now further south.
460 nm to go - could be another 14 days = total approx 37 days = 32 nm per day

I have a Dynamite Payson/Phil Bolger Windsprint, but local lake sailing only.

I was going to build a hovercraft for the small "river" behind my house. Nearly all the fiberglass builds on the net were about boats, which led me to read Slocum, which led to reading everything I could on small boat building and adventures. So I built the Windsprint instead.

I've given up the fantasy of building a small boat and sailing around the world, but I still hope to one day sail over to the Bahamas in a small boat - home built or bought, but preferably home built.
It's just something different to do...

Like many others have said before, it's most likely a result of mental issues.:)
