    Hello...

I have been given the divine - I think - today - I am speaking in tongues - well - I am eating some tongue just now - and I happen to like it - really - I am the Pentecost - give up boats now...

They are evil - they have been sent to us by Satan to divert our resources and intellect - and our sex drive - nay for those who can actually afford same and can thus attract or afford women worthy of any sex drive...

I hate the F'un things - I hate them to pieces...

Right now - at this moment - I am going into the mountains with my flute - because I am F'un tired of it all...:)

Someone call my wife and the yard where I sometimes work and tell them that I have just cracked and I don't know when I will be back...

Can someone PLEASE do a soundtrack...

Damn - that rhymes - I may need to do some poetry to fry my *** - proper - before I leave for good...

Don Aronow and Renato Sonny Levi - the two kings on a board...

Thus proving that you are, while perhaps bothered, dedeviled, and/or divinely inspired, firmly grounded (meant in the non-nautical sense, of course) ;) .

What impressed you so about Sonny?

This old guy, I use to see him every day fix up his old boat . I kinda felt sorry for him a bit. He didnt live on board but came to the marina every day.

Ide say "do you want a cup of tea" to which he would say yes thank you.

He would come and sit on the aft deck and we would chat about stuff. My missus would bring out tea.

I would rabble on about this and that and one day mentioned my power boat experiences. He placed his cup back on the saucer and said "do you like power boats Frosty" Sitting on a 64 foot sloop that was a fare question.

I said "yes I love em" he said "I got some books then " Oh I though what have I done.

He came back with two books very carefully wrapped and handed them to me. One was "Dhows to Deltas" I forget what the other was.

I thanked him and said I would read them and return them.

That night I looked at them, thumbing through the pictures, there was a picture of an Italian bloke with a fag in his gob winding up some three engines surface driven boat. I looked again wow that looks like Sonny. I read the note under the picture --Sonny levi at the wheel.

Yup it was him --all those months I never knew who he was.

He sold his old boat that he built himself in India to a Londoner.

The boat is about 40 feet away from me as I type Ive opened the hatches this morning and the wife is making seat covers for it behind me right now.

Frosty - assuming you're not taking the piss - you are a lucky man....

Interesting when you look at those pics (Arronow and Levi, I mean). Two more different blokes you couldn't imagine meeting, yet both driven by a love of speed and the sea....

SH - when you find those drawings, let me know!;)

I havnt seen Sonny for about 4 years. He inspired me to go surface drive.

I did. I designed and built my own. He was adamant that the propeller can be placed in but one place and held there. He said if you need to trim up or down you have the wrong prop.
Sonny never designed a surface trimable system.

He has nothing to do with Seafury of New zealand but is part of a small operation In Pinang making the sonny drive there.

Hes genarally around the East --Thailand or Langkawi etc

    No --not taking the piss.

Last time I spoke to him on the phone I told him I had aquired a copy of his diamond back blade props ,--he laughed.

Once upon a time, I thought it was more important to pass trigonometry than to go out sailing.
Sooner or later I'm going to get this one right.....
