Looking for help/advice/contacts in the marine industry to help the society I am president of, hit the ground running.

The Strathclyde University Naval Architecture Society was formed a few months ago, and is now supported and recognised by the Royal Institute of Naval Architects. Our aim is to let university students find out more about the practical side of their course, showing them early on what the options are in the marine industry. This includes tours to places members wouldn't be able to get into individually (for example, we organised a tour to BAE Shipyards in Glasgow) showing the practical side of Naval Architecture. Opportunities for work experience/placements in companies are needed to send members to, and also socially SUNAS provides events to promote relations within the Naval Architecture department.

If you know of any useful contacts in our area, have any tips on running a successful society, or would you are a someone who would like to show their support, any comments would be really appreciated.
