If you build a boat to *plans* - especially *proven* plans, you have no worries.

It was mentioned somewhere in the thread. One is a schoolteacher; I don't remember the other.

Whats the value of that monstrosity now? 1/10th of what they've spent?

    Disaster.

    Merry christmas!

Sometimes I have to meet this kind of people... Stubborn enough to build such a big boat without professional design, without supervision... Let them hit the wall – next time will be more smart.

After launching, they used to crawl to naval architect and ask to help... But I never touch it :)

    Both these ****** are teachers.

One of my old Tutors once told me: when you want advice from outer space, ask a teacher. When you want professional advice from outer space, ask one teaching law!

Richard, Do You remember the photo of 60' cat I posted here? Designed by amateur, sitting bowdown?

Do You know what they do now? The have cut FRP hulls at WL, removed the old bottoms and adding new bottoms with increased and re-destributed displacement! So if someone needs two 60' kanoes - welcome, CIF from Thailand... Maybe I should picture that!
