Myself and Masalai have been thinking about this and we've come up with a few names. Since this is an open-source project I thought we should have a vote on it.

If you have any other ideas for names, please post them.

    Cheers,

    Tim B.

How about 'Roll the Dice" or 'Guess !' or 'Open Sesame' or 'One Way'

What does the nav/monitoring system do ? Is it for some kind of a training program ?

If I guess right, do I win something :D

See "Retread the old coder's head?" for details, but broadly it is a piece of platform independent software (Windows/Mac/Linux) to provide the functionality of a chart plotter for free, with the ability to monitor (and control) engines, tanks, valves, electronics etc.

    Cheers,

Swallows have to find their way over great distances, doesn't get lost and has to be self-sustained for the duration of their voyage. Maybe 'wind swallow' could be some kind of a name... unless you want to call it nimo  :D

Open is good so i think it deserves a place in the name.

Best of luck with your project,

Yes Danish "OpenOceans" has better english impact & no spaces lends its self to most software platforms.

Didn't think about the no-spaces, but good call.
how about that OpenCourse (as in "OpenSource")? – I guess that one won't be marketable, though …
