I Have a navman 4500 Fish and a navman chart plotter 5500 And also a navman VHF I would like to hook all these up so they can talk to each other via navbus.
How do I wire this do i join all the navbus + cables together and all the navbus- cables together.
To wire up the vhf do i have to use the nmea or can i use navbus.
    Many Thanks

The plotter and the VHF can be connected using nmea or navbus, so the VHF knows the position in case of emergency. I use nmea because my gps is a Garmin that doesn't support navbus.
Connecting the fishfinder I've never considered; what are the benefits?

once they are all hooked up you might have to access a control function to give priority to different functions.

I added a seperate NMEA input to the navbus as per instructions ...compass...and its refresh rate doesnt match the tranfer rate of the navbus so the compass display screen goes blank for a few seconds every min.

Follow the instructions supplied with the gear and ask Navman if you want to add NMEA devices to the system .
