I have long been a fan of Goslings but picked up some 12 yr old Cockspur today.
    Drinkable stuff.

Firewater ! Believe it or not, some bars around here will not serve rum, claiming it leads to unruly patrons. Not sure there is any basis in fact there, though. Hard to see how it could be more potent than other spirits with the same alcohol %.

We have a highly volatile liquid here sold as rum called "Canefire."

It's rocket fuel in a bottle. If you reckon you've never found a rum you don't like, you aint tried Canefire.

It's the worst thing that Quennslanders have exported since their bloody cane toads.

Do they sell Tequila, with better patron behavior then rum?

The best rum is in someone else's bottle.

Traditionally the best rums were French because they were made from sugarcane. Typical rum is made from molasses. As the export market expanded, Many rums are now being distilled from sugar cane and produced the traditional way.

If you like your rum, you should consult Ed Hamilton . Ed coordinates the "Ministry of Rum" . His life mission for the past few decades has been to sail his boat from island to island tasting and documenting the production of this precious life giving elixir .

If youre a Caribbean sailor you will frequently encounter Ed, Machete in hand, hacking thru dense undergrowth, investigating yet another distillery.

Pirate Rum is a really good brand
but I'll drink just about any rum
friends tend to buy Capt Morgan brand and I've cheerfully toasted more than a few flagons ( yes I have an actual leather flagon ) of that grog preferably with a friend or two close by

if people get mean on Rum
your hanging out with the wrong people, although I have seen some nitwits drinking who really shouldn't
our theory at the club is if your not a happy drunk your outa here

We had our own hand-rolled cigar industry right here in Tampa until Kathy Castor ran them off. She is another Marxist posing as a democrat. Investigate Hav-a-Tampa history.

Meillä oli oman käden valssatut sikari tuotannonalan täältä Tampa, kunnes Kathy Castor juoksivat niiden. Hän on toisen marxilainen kuin democrat aiheuttavat. Tutkia Hav-a-Tampa historia.

Someone anonymously took points from me for telling the truth.:["She is another Marxist posing as a democrat" 1) You can disagree with her but that doesn't make her a marxist. 2) Very sick to try to turn every thread in political mud throwing. 3) Disagree is OK, mud throwin and name calling is not.]

So the mud slinging only belongs to one side. So be it. It is what I believe. At least when I bash your points I sign it, Chicken Droppings.
