    Wild Oats XI

See the story of the 2014 Sydney-Hobart where Wild Oats set a new record for Line Honors wins-8- in her come from behind spectacular victory over Comanche. The battle between the two added a major notch to Wild Oats spectacular 9 year race record but was also one of the great match races in the history of the Sydney-Hobart line honors yachts in my lifetime. Comanche provided very tough competition and made the race one that I personally found very exciting and fun to follow.
But in the end Wild Oats cemented her position as one of the greatest ocean racers of all time.

The winner of the 2014 race is yet to be decided. Handicap winner is the only one that counts. Who cares which motorsailer crosses first.

WOXI's diesel cheating powered days are numbered; as soon as the multihulls enter (and this HAS to occur, if not next year as soon as the conservative old guard retire) WOXI's records will be crushed, even by 50 footers.
