I have a problem at work and was wondering if you guys would help me out. I’m doing a diffraction analysis for semi sub of typical 6 column and 2 pontoon design .. I’m using AQWA for the analysis and the software doesn't seems to be calculating the viscous damping so i decided to add some additional damping. But i just don’t understand how much should i add.
Normally we add 3-5% of critical damp as an additional damping, but i wouldn’t find any relevant paper which says so. It will be great if you could help me in this issue.
