Why aren't offshore tunnel hulls using forward wings to control bow lift?

If you had wings that could control the boat would it be a boat or a plane, I feel arguments would ensue.

Micheal Peters designer of the victory boats -perhaps the class and rules?- had a good article recently in PB magazine, did not include question I think

Beacause you are in Big water not just smooth calm water the boats are pitching up and down hundreds of times a hour for wings to do any sort of good they would have to be big in size and gyro/ hydralic operated because the human body and brain can not function quick enought to react in time to do any good !!
you need to shut down you computer and go and get up close and personal with a few offshore boats and there drivers !! Crawl round under in and through a baot and find what makes it tck and go brooooom !!!watching on tv you dont feel the stinging spray on your face and your backside hovering some where between up and down and forces that can snap you legs and compress your spine as has happened in the past !:)

I don't have to do jacksquat. I previously provided a link to a video of a big tunnel hull blowing over at a race in Key West.

Unlimited hydroplanes HAVE wings. NOBODY thinks they're airplanes.

    Pitching

Who cares about ordinary pitching? I'm talking about when a boat stands on its tail and stays there. And crews in big tunnel hulls don't feel the spray. They're all inside enclosed cockpits.

"...the human body and brain can not function quick enought to react in time to do any good !!" Tell that silly crap to the Unlimited hydroplane drivers who've been using wings for years.

    Blowovers

This blowover happened plenty slow enough for a human being to have corrected it with a wing.

Another alternative that could be examined is ports that could be opened to bleed air from the tunnel.

The moderator has already asked for a measure of civility. The OP appears to thrive on juvenile rudeness. We generously exchange useful information and experience here. That is the primary function of the forum. Crass behavior is not welcome.

Heaven forbid people should get called on not being able to stick to the topic, or making assumptions that have nothing to do with the question.

And STILL the "expert" can contribute NOTHING to the topic, unless you regard (repeatedly) blowing your own horn and irrelevant ad hominem responses as "contributing."

Why aren't offshore tunnel hulls using forward wings to control bow lift?

Moving forward wings work on Unlimited hydroplanes. Why not the big tunnel hull boats?

    Multi-element and dual wings

To anyone with an imagination, it is obvious the simple single element wings used on Unlimited hydroplanes are not the only option for generating the force needed to control bow lift on the offshore big tunnel hulls.

While still fitting within the width of the bow, other options are highly cambered multi-element wings drawn from Indy car/F1 racing, or single element wings arranged in a biplane or even triplane configuration.

Posting a link to a similar thread and discussion in which I did not even participate. Perhaps you would be so kind as to explain how that qualifies as "blowing my own horn" or an "ad hominem" response. TIA. ;)

    IMP-ish powerboater

On the video time to react would be 1 second between 0:29.5 and 0:30.5 blowover.

Unlimited hydroplane drivers can do it. And they're in shorter boats that flip faster.
