The car is famous for a ride on the sands of our place....

    Good Luck :)

The car drove solo. Here's a picture of her with a front fairing taken on the same location as Tiny's pic which is far from the historical event (see stamp) in our place that made the car famous from the start of her carrier....

Isn't it funny that this quest also started with pics of some kind of vehicles on that beach . . :D

    Good Luck :)

PS - Wicked, 43°30′49″N 70°22′28″W is not in the UK.

Bang on, Murdomack - well done! I'm guessing the lawnmower museum gave it away then? ;)

The shrimpers - homebuilt plywood shacks on raised truck chassis, often with primitive booms for nets, and shrimp boilers on board, trawl for shrimp over the very flat Southport sands. The tide goes out 2 or 3 km, and it would be difficult for a boat not to get stranded - trawling by truck makes perfect sense. I'm not aware of anywhere else this is done.

Henry Seagrave set a land speed record of 153mph in 1926, on Southport sands, in the Sunbeam Tiger pictured.

    Good effort! over to you...

Well, no, I was not sure what the model was, so I Googled ""bentley sand races" and Southport Sand Races came up.

I'm on holiday and doing this on my netbook, so I might take a picture and send it in if I see something apt. If someone else wants to go in my place, that's OK.

Dirteater, is there a relation with navigable waters or boats . . ? ?

That's one of the things contributors of this thread have agreed on...

    Good Luck :)

sorry Wicded that pic didn't qualify.
    (sheesk eh?)

    but so you know.
the location was Drummer heller Alberta

Very cool place on the planet,
many Dinasaur bones. It is also know as the Badlands.
due to how incredibly slippery and dangerous it gets when it rains.
