Yes, let's get back to Crag's place!
Beer? Famous brewery? East England? (Sailing Barges)

And you wicked from cold Main, pleas wait for your turn.
Solve the puzzle and it's your turn to make a new one.
    And be friendly and polite.

    Shepherd Neame?

Are we in Faversham for the hops festival? Or on Sheppey?

No, the beer connection is just that sold in the pub in the picture.

However barges would have gone down to Kent for hops for use with the barley they would have transported from here. In fact, the barley in the fields was just on the turn when I was there last week.

    The right county Guillermo!

But wrong river I'm afraid. Snape has a quayside whereas this famous barge port only has a 'hard'.

No not the River Blyth, but again the right county.

And that river does have a strong connection with the beer in question.

The place in the photo is not only famous in it's own right, but has featured in various fictional books including one that, probably more than any other, has inspired young British kids to go to sea. Whether they meant to or not.

It has to be one of these breweries, listed in wikipedia.: Adnams, Bartrams, Brandon Brewery, Cox & Holbrook, Earl Soham, Green Dragon, Green Jack, Greene King, King's Head, Lidstone's, Mauldon's, Nethergate, Old Cannon, Old Chimneys, Oulton Ales, St Peter's.
