    You guys are too good, I was frantic trying to beat you on this and finally found the Cuauhtemoc in SF.

    The start of the 2009 races in Torquay was also foggy...and Becks' "Alex" is behind her.
    Looking at the pic reminds me. They do the fire pump thing in the States here - Is it customary in Europe? Saw a tractor spinning and spraying once...had to laugh as it looked like a lawn sprinkler!

    Anything I do now is a guess. I cannot find the regatta conditions this year, if it was foggy. Good luck

    She won the "Cutty Sark Trophy" in 1998 and 2000.

    dunno, Helen boght me this wonderful book B, day, so ship was just a pic, BUT here she is in regatta in between lats 50 and 60 and not in those years

    You ask a question and do´nt know the answer?

    The ship is built in 1982, she hardly raced in the 50ies or 60ies!

    Well not in the fifties that much is clear....................

    and when my eyes are right, this was the question:

    the latter is clear, the former is 1998!
