How did you recognise the watch first, incidently? I recognised the shape of the island and was trying to hunt down the watch/bounty connection

Like my frog. I found it hiding in a banana leaf. Guess where. Never mind . It was in my back yard, but not Crystal Springs, my literal back yard in Zephyrhills.

Once I magnified the watch, saw it came from London, the rest was obvious.

So Hoyte! Another one out of your backyard!

Bad luck Tiny! If you did know the island just by shape! Chapeux! That would have been fast too.

Ah, Hoyte - I magnified it too and still couldn't read it! I wouldnt have got any further than made in London anyway. Would have been a stab in the dark - Fletcher Christians watch or something.

Thanks Apex - I've wasted too much time romanticising about remote outliers!

Incidently, I see you can still get Pitcairn goodies, including honey, online, but they are on 2 to 5 months delivery time!

The watch was manufactured by Lance M. Kendall, London.

Not my backyard this time, but my ancestor's from long ago.

The clues but with no pictures. Define the unusual word or words: Known for staithes, Hadrian and forks that are not dinnerware. It is good that no man is an island because this place is now missing some. It is some distance from an area of outstanding beauty, to which it is historically connected, but by what?

I think I got it. If I'm not wrong, you need parking permits to stay there ;) , but I would like to give a chance to someone else to win this teaser.

    Cheers.
