First one is seen with "rumbos" and the second one pegs for food..

Didn't look closely the pictures before.. so noticed now what you most likely did. The dancer closer to camera looks defineatly oriental, chinese to be precise..
The ethnic background of the population is diverse. Europeans, africans, Chinese and of course Taino indians..

My guess is just north of Fortress del Morro! (Close to Santiago de Cuba)

And the biggest optimist is the fisherman Santiago who goes out fishing every day even if its 84 (or 87) days without any catch??

    Bullseye.. :D
On the narrow passage to "La Bahia de Santiago de Cuba" just next to El morro, the Ciudamar Sail Club is nothing more than ruins.. Island is El Cayo.. Girls are bailarinas from the Tropicana.. Bungalow belongs to Fidel who is the bigges optimist (before his "revolution" he shipwrecked with Granma boat loosing some men, some were shot by the army and with few followers he fed to Sierra Maestra without food and ammo, and then he said "venceremos"; let's win) .. Rumbos are presented in the Casa de la Trova.. and the Iguana, besides being local animal, is suffering "lack of food" like most of the country nowadays..
and by the way. That old man Ernest wrote about some sixty years ago died recently (few years back) as an OLD man :)

    OK, my turn then?
I haven't been much around lately, but this should be easy for some of you.
These are not my pictures, but I've been here several times, and also traveled by boat from Norway to this island..
